Jon Favreau is Holding Out Hope For Spider-Man's Return To The MCU
Sony and Marvel have created a divide amongst fans. After failed negotiations, Sony has taken Spider-Man out of the MCU and fans are not happy. Many are worried that we’ll never see everyone’s favorite wallcrawler with the likes of Thor and Captain Marvel again. I’m especially sad we’ll never get to see Peter meet Shuri because that would be hilarious. Well, even though headlines would lead us all to believe that there’s no hope in sight, Jon Favreau is there being optimistic. He told Variety:
“I’ve been talking to everybody about it…I’m cautiously optimistic. I think it’s a long way away and I think the collaboration has been really strong up to this point so I’m hopeful that there’s a way for us all to play together going forward.”
I’m sure there are many that are hoping that the companies can somehow reach a new arrangement. I’m just not sure how likely that is for a good while. Do you believe that there’s still hope or are you done?
