Jon Favreau's Awesome PREHISTORIC PLANET Series Renewed For Season 2 at Apple TV+

Apple TV+ has announced that the Jon Favreau-produced dinosaur documentary series Prehistoric Planet has been renewed for a second season! If you haven’t watched the first season yet, you should, because it’s awesome!

The series offered an experience that combined compelling nature photography with the latest in visual effects techniques to show us what dinosaurs would look like in their natural habitats. It featured interesting little-known facts about the life of dinosaurs, and the environments of Cretaceous times that it featured included coasts, deserts, freshwater, ice worlds and forests.

Jay Hunt, Creative Director, Europe, Apple TV+, shared in a statement: "The award-winning first season of Prehistoric Planet brought dinosaurs back to life in a way global audiences had never seen before. Collaborating with the brilliant Jon Favreau and our fantastic partners at the BBC, we are thrilled that viewers will once again have the opportunity to be immersed in our world as it was 66 million years ago and to experience even more weird and wonderful creatures."

Set to debut globally in a five-day week-long event on Apple TV+ May 22nd, the five-episode second season transports viewers millions of years in the past to discover our world -- and the dinosaurs that roamed it -- all in extraordinary detail, set to an original score by multiple Academy Award winner Hans Zimmer.
