John Slattery (Mad Men) has set up his second feature film directing project Maggie Moore(s) and he’s cast fellow Mad Men alum Jon Hamm to star in it with Tina Fey.

Maggie Moore(s) is described as being a dark comedy, the story of which takes place in “a dusty desert town where nothing ever happens, as a police chief is suddenly faced with the back-to-back murders of two women with the same name.”

The film was written by Paul Bernbaum, who previously wrote the Ben Affleck movie Hollywoodland. Hamm and Fey previously worked together on 30 Rock and it’s great to see that they’ll be working together again! This seems like it’ll be an interesting project for them.

Slattery made his feature film directorial debut in 2014 with the crime film God’s Pocket starring John Turturro and Philip Seymour Hoffman.
