Jon Stewart Set to Host Untitled Current Affairs News Series for Apple TV+
Jon Stewart, former executive producer, writer, and host of The Daily Show, has been hired to host a new current affairs series for Apple TV+. The yet-to-be-titled series will run for multiple seasons, and puts “Stewart back in the anchor’s chair as he explores a host of topics at the center of both the national conversation and his own advocacy work.”
Stewart will executive produce through his company Busboy Productions. The deal also states that Stewart and his Busboy Productions will have a first-look deal for other projects to be developed and produced for Apple.
THR reports that HBO hoped to snag Stewart for his next TV project, but the deal was made at Apple. The series is set to hit Apple TV+ next year. Are you looking forward to seeing Stewart back on TV?
