Jon Watts Seems to Confirm Michael Keaton Is in for SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING
Last Friday we learned that Michael Keaton was in final negotiations to join Marvel and Sony’s Spider-Man: Homecoming as the villain. That villain is rumored is to be The Vulture, which would be so freakin’ cool, but we’ll just have to wait to see about that.
The day after the news broke, director Jon Watts threw some gasoline on the fire by posting the following gif of Keaton celebrating a victory win. With that image, Watts seemingly confirms that Keaton has officially landed the role. I don’t know why else he would have posted this gif!

We still have yet to get an official confirmation from Marvel and Sony, but Keaton will join Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, and Zendaya in an undisclosed role. There's no doubt that Keaton is going to be awesome in whatever vilainous role he plays.
Spider-Man: Homecoming will be released on July 7th, 2017.
