Jonathan Majors Answers Whether "Thanus" Theory Would Work on QUANTUMANIA's Kang the Conqueror
I love that there is finally a clever name for the “Ant-Man shrinks down and flies up Thanos’ butt, then expands to kill him” theory: Thanus. That’s pretty fun. And now the theory is being used for every enemy Ant-Man goes up against! Can you imagine if this just became Ant-Man’s modus operandi? Like all the Avengers are standing around, debating how to defeat the next bad guy, and they all just look to Ant-Man like, “you’re going to have to do the thing again…” Poor Scott Lang. He better be getting paid double for this.
But as far as this theory goes in regard to the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania villain, Kang the Conqueror, the actor who portrays him says this is not an option.
In a recent interview with IGN, Kang actor Jonathan Majors revealed if the Ant-Man theory could work on his villain, saying:
"Absolutely not. No. Because he's smarter than that. He wouldn't have it. Trust me he wouldn't have it."
That sounds like a typical response. Anyone would like to believe that they’d be able to outsmart Ant-Man and not allow the tiny bug-like creature to crawl into their butt, but I just can’t help believing that there’s a way this would work. It can’t work though, because the MCU can’t turn this into their problem-solving narrative. It’s funny to think of though!
