Jonathan Majors Teases the Future of Kang the Conqueror's Variants in the MCU
It has been established that Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror is the big bad villain of the current and upcoming phases of the MCU. We were first introduced to him back at the end of the first season of Loki, where that particular inter-dimensional quantum variant of Kang was referred to as “He Who Remains.” It was here that we found out the character had variants, and soon after we knew that Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania would be the next time we saw him as Kang the Conqueror.
Knowing this guy has variants makes the future even more unsure, as we know the next Avengers movie, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty has his name in the title, but how many versions of him will we see between now and then?
In a recent interview with Collider, Majors slyly teased this topic, saying:
“[N]o spoilers here, we can take it there, but Kang has variants, you know what I mean? [There are] always variants. I'm Kang. So whatever comes through comes through, you know what I mean?”
This sounds like a real wink to the fans, and it seems like we are in for a wild ride starting with Quantumania. I can’t wait! The film hits theaters on February 17th.
