Jordan Peele Says He'd "Never Say Never" to Possibly Making a GET OUT Sequel
Jordan Peele’s directorial debut, Get Out (2017), was a huge breakout hit. Fans went crazy for the thriller, and on the week of Peele’s third theatrical film release with his film Nope, Peele has addressed the questioning from fans asking if we might ever see a Get Out sequel.
In a recent interview with AP News, he was asked if fans often inquire about the possibility of Get Out 2. Peele responded, saying:
“I do get asked that a lot. Never say never. There’s certainly a lot to talk about left. We’ll see.”
It was then pointed out that after Get Out, Peele suggested he would embark on a series of genre films that grapple with big societal issues. Three films in, he was asked where he feels he is in that trajectory. He said:
“I feel like I’m off to the races. I just don’t know if I could limit how many films I have that are me. I’m starting to lose sight of what I would be doing if I wasn’t doing movies like this. So I would say the project has extended.”
Fine by us. I am excited to see Nope this week, and I am even more excited by the prospect of another film in the Get Out realm. What about you? What would you like to see Jordan Peele direct in the future?
