Jordan Peele's NOPE Gets a New Featurette Focuses on the Brother and Sister Relationship in the Story
Jordan Peele is looking to wow audiences again with his upcoming sci-fi horror thriller Nope, which is described as a “new pop nightmare” and “expansive horror epic.” We’ve got another featurette for you to watch today called “OJ & EM” and it focuses on the brother and sister, played by Daniel Kaluuya and Keke Palmer, and the kind of relationship they have.
They run a horse training ranch for Hollywood productions in a lonely gulch of inland California. They bear witness to an uncanny and chilling discovery as UFOs are seen flying around. One of the plot points is that these characters use the opportunity of this alien invasion to get rich and famous by getting the UFO on film, “the money shot.”
The featurette includes interviews with the cast and crew along with some new footage. In fact, the film even has a shot inspired by the classic motorcycle shot in the classic anime film Akira, which is fun because at one point Peele was looking to direct an Akira movie at one point.
The movie also stars Steven Yeun (Minari, Okja), Michael Wincott (Hitchcock, Westworld) and Brandon Perea (The OA, American Insurrection).
The film will be released by Universal Pictures and Nope will suck you into theaters on July 22nd.
