Jordan Peele's THE TWILIGHT ZONE Series Adds DeWanda Wise and Jessica Williams
Jordan Peele is working hard, building up the ensemble cast for his new reboot series The Twilight Zone. The latest actors to get cast are DeWanda Wise (from Spike Lee’s Netflix series She’s Gotta Have It) and Jessica Williams (from the series The Incredible Jessica James, and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald).
In the episode they’ll be working on, they join the previously cast Lucinda Dryzek, Jefferson White, and Jonathan Whitesell. The series also includes John Cho, Greg Kinnear, Sanaa Lathan, Kumail Nanjiani, Adam Scott, Alison Tolman, Jacob Tremblay, and Steven Yeun. Peele will also narrate and host the series.
I am so hopeful for this series. The talent is there, and Peele is a brilliant writer and director. Get Out was one of my favorite movies of the last few years, and I can’t wait to see more creepy storytelling in the form of one of the greatest television series outlines of all time.
May this reboot take us to “a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity, it is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition and it lies between the pit of man’s fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area we call…The Twilight Zone.”
