Josh Brolin and Miles Teller to Play Firefighters in Joseph Kosinski's Action Film NO EXIT
Joseph Kosinski has had some trouble getting projects off the ground in recent years, but the Tron: Legacy and Oblivion director has another potential movie in mind that's slowly inching toward the starting blocks.
Variety reports that Josh Brolin and Miles Teller have joined the cast of No Exit, a firefighter action thriller that "tells the true story of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, a group of firefighters that faced one of the deadliest wildfires in history in order to save an Arizona town, resulting in the tragic death of 19 crew members." There have been a handful of firefighter movies throughout history — The Towering Inferno, Backdraft, Ladder 49, etc. — but none in the past few years, so it's about time for that trend to reemerge like a phoenix (nailed it).
No start date has been scheduled for the production yet, though, so even though the fact that these two talented actors have come on board is a good sign, I'll wait until they physically start shooting to even start considering getting excited about this one.
