Josh Brolin, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Olivia Munn Sign On For Undercover Thriller THREE SECONDS
The Wrap reports that Josh Brolin, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Olivia Munn have joined Luke Evans and David Oyelowo in an indie undercover thriller called Three Seconds.
Evans will play the lead, a man who is "forced to go undercover in a prison as part of a FBI operation and must then escape on his own after he’s abandoned mid-mission." Munn will play his wife and the mother of his child, while Gyllenhaal will portray an FBI agent who "has a history with Evans' character," and Brolin will play her boss.
I absolutely love this cast. It reminds me of another similarly-stacked indie thriller that's coming out this year called Triple Nine, so it was a nice coincidence to discover that Matt Cook wrote both of those films (he co-wrote Three Seconds with Roland Jaffe). Otto Bathurst (Peaky Blinders) will be making his feature film debut here after impressing with his television work, including an episode of Black Mirror. I'm stoked to see how this project comes along. We'll keep you posted when we hear more.
