Josh Gad Teases the Tone of FROZEN 3 Calling It "The Funniest Of the Three Movies"
Frozen III is headed our way next year, and with the sequel being that far out, we don’t have a lot of details yet. But one star has dropped a few morsels for us to enjoy while we wait for something for solid to be released. Josh Gad, who has voiced Olaf the snowman throughout the franchise, recently shared new details about the film’s tone, music, and overall progress.
Gad recently appeared on Good Morning America, where he said the third chapter has already left a strong impression on him during the recording process. “Well, here’s the deal. I can tell you, I started recording… It’s the funniest of the three movies I’ve ever recorded. I’m laughing my butt off,” he said.
The actor also spoke enthusiastically about the sequel’s music, confirming that Oscar-winning songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez have returned for the project.
Gad revealed that he has already heard some of the new material and was impressed by what the duo has created. “I’ve heard two of the songs. They are incredible. Wow… Bobby and Kristen wrote the music again,” he noted.
Gad went on to tease that the creative team has some major surprises in store, saying, “There’s some unbelievable stuff. Unbelievable developments.” Disney previously confirmed that Frozen 4 is already in the works. This makes Frozen the first Disney Animation franchise to receive a planned fourth theatrical feature.
Frozen 3 is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters on November 24, 2027.
