Josh Hartnett Cast in Christopher Nolan's Atomic Bomb WWII Film OPPENHEIMER
Director Christopher Nolan has added Josh Hartnett to the cast of his next film project Oppenheimer. He joins the previously cast Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Rami Malek, Florence Pugh, and Benny Safdie.
The movie centers on J. Robert Oppenheimer, the scientist who ran the Manhattan Project that led to the invention of the atomic bomb. The film has been described as an “epic thriller that thrusts audiences into the pulse-pounding paradox of the enigmatic man who must risk destroying the world in order to save it.”
The film is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Kai Bird and the late Martin J. Sherwin. Murphy is playing Oppenheimer, and Blunt will play his wife. There are no other details on who any of the other cast members are playing.
The film is set to be released in theaters on July 21, 2023. Hopefully, it ends up being a success so that Nolan gets to keep making these incredible films that he dreams up.
