Josh Hartnett Says M. Night Shyamalan's New Thriller TRAP Is Bizarre, Very Dark, and Wild
Josh Hartnett recently offered some additional insight on M. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming horror thriller Trap. Shyamalan previously described the movie as a “psychological thriller set at a concert.” Hartnett is playing a father who gets stuck at a concert with his daughter.
While talking about taking on the project with IndieWire, Hartnett explained that working on the film was a career highlight for him because of his experience making in and his admiration for Shyamalan. He said:
"It's a pivot, but I try to make all of my roles pivots. If you're playing the same thing again and again, it gets boring to the audience. Working with M. Night was one of the best experiences of my career. I think he's a true Artist in the capitol-A sense of the word. And I think people are gonna be really surprised and excited about the movie we make. It's very bizarre, very dark, and it's wild."
I’m really interested in seeing what this movie ends up being. When talking about it in the past, Shyamalan said: “It’s very unusual and very new compared to what I’ve been trying to do [recently], but I’m feeling very excited about the story, so much so that I can’t wait to tell it to you guys.”
The movie is set to be released on August 2nd, 2024
