Joss Whedon Shares His Excitement for BATMAN V SUPERMAN
During a recent interview with Yahoo!, Avengers: Age of Ultron writer/director Joss Whedon is asked about the teaser trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and what he thought about it. His end response was filled with giddy geeky glee, and he excitedly exclaims "Batman and Superman are gonna fight! I’m so excited! I’m so excited!"
After the trailer was released, I saw a lot of complaints regarding the fact that two superheroes that fans love will be fighting each other. People don't seem to understand why that is the case. This is something that is also going to happen in Captain America: Civil War when Iron Man and Captain America face off, so this is just something that people are going to have to live with!
In regards to that, Whedon explains how Batman v Superman compares to Age of Ultron and the Marvel universe:
“I found [the trailer for ‘Batman v Superman’] interesting, because they’re bringing up a lot of issues that we bring up in ‘Age of Ultron’ and I think it’s inevitable. People with power, who are good, do not always agree and it makes perfect sense for me that [Batman and Superman] would fight.
Exactly, it's inevitable. Chris Evans and Jeremy Renner are also asked if they saw the trailer for Batman v Superman, and even though they haven't they go on to amusingly discuss how it's not a fair fight. You can watch the interviews in the video below.
