Jude Law Reveals What He Wish He Would've Done Playing the Villain in CAPTAIN MARVEL

Jude Law opened up about his time playing the villain Yon Rogg in Marvel Studios’ 2019 film Captain Marvel. He explains that while it was a good experience for him, there are some things he wishes he would’ve done differently.

During an interview with Variety, the actor was asked about his work on the MCU, and he said: “I don’t think there was much more they could get out of Yon-Rogg. That, for me, was the height of Marvel. It was a really good experience.”

He then expressed all the things he hoped for the character he played, saying: “I wish I’d been allowed to have a bit more fun with the part. I wanted him to be more arch. I wanted to lean into the humor more.”

Law went on to recall the suit that he had to wear in the film and how he had to attend stunt camps to have rehearsals for the fight scenes.

Law said: “Those suits are hard to move in because they’re thick rubber. You go to stunt camp for a couple of months, where you’re doing all these fight rehearsals and learning to do all this stuff.

“And then you put the suit on, and you go, ‘Oh! I can’t touch my toes! How am I going to do all that stuff with this thing on?’ You figure it out though.”

While appearing in Captain Marvel was a good experience for Law, he does wish that he would’ve had a bit more creative freedom to bring his character to life in a better way. After all, his character did end up being pretty forgettable.
