Jude Law Teases One Story Detail From SHERLOCK HOLMES 3
Jude Law recently sat down with Entertainment Weekly to talk about his take on Albus Dumbledore in Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, but at one point the conversation turned to Sherlock Holmes 3. The next sequel is currently in development and when talking about the story he offered one bit of information regarding where the story will pick up with Holmes and Watson:
“We hope to propel the story forward. As always, the essence of the story is their codependency. We’re going to examine — since it’s been several years since we’ve seen them — we’re going to play up the fact that they haven’t seen each other for a long time either.”
The last time that Watson Saw Holmes was when he watched him grab Professor Moriarty and pull him over the edge of a cliff at the end of Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows. Yes, we all know that Holmes didn't die, but Watson doesn't. I'm sure it will come as a surprise to Watson when Holmes shows back up in his life. The BBC series played with this story element as well.
Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law will reprise their roles in the film which will feature a script written by Chris Brancato. Guy Ritchie directed the first two films, but as of right now, we don't know who will be directing the third.
What are your thoughts on the story element that has been revealed here for Sherlock Holmes 3?
