JUNGLE CRUISE Sequel Officially in the Works With Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt Set to Return
Disney had a hit on their hands with the summer blockbuster Jungle Cruise. The film starred Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt as they traveled along the jungle river in an effort to find an ancient tree that has the power to heal. So naturally, with such a successful run, Disney has announced that a Jungle Cruise sequel is in the works.
Johnson and Blunt are both returning to reprise their roles, and Jaume Collet-Serra is also signed on return as director, while Michael Green is back to write the script. There’s no word yet, but hopefully Jack Whitehall will also be returning to play Blunt’s character’s brother. He was great in the role, and the trio had great chemistry.
This is really early in the game, so we have no idea where the sequel will take us, but the story was strong in the first film, and I am excited to see a second one. Are you looking forward to a Jungle Cruise sequel?
