JURASSIC WORLD 3 Gets a Release Date and a PACIFIC RIM Screenwriter

Even though Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom hasn't been released yet, Universal Pictures is preparing for the third film in the Jurassic World franchise. The studio has hired Pacific Rim Uprising screenwriter Emily Carmichael to co-write the script with Colin Trevorrow. According to Variety, they've also set the release date for the film for June 11th, 2021.

Steven Spielberg and Trevorrow will return to executive produce the movie, which is also being produced by Amblin Entertainment. It's too early to know what exactly the story will entail because we don't even know how the story for Fallen Kingdom is going to turn out!

One thing that we know for sure is dinosaurs will be involved and they will be trying to kill people. It's also safe to say that Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will end up saving the day.

When Colin Trevorrow originally launched Jurassic World, he envisioned it as a trilogy. So after this third film is released, who knows what's going to happen. If the movies keep making tons of cash, I imagine the studio will keep pumping out the movies. Trevorrow had this to say in a statement:

"It’s important to this franchise that we welcome new creative voices to keep our storytelling fresh and alive. I’m thrilled with the tension and beauty J.A. has brought to 'Fallen Kingdom,' and I know Emily will add another layer of emotion to the concluding chapter of our trilogy."

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will be directed by J.A. Bayona, and is set to open on June 22, 2018.
