JURASSIC WORLD's VFX Reel Breaks Down Some of The Film's CG Wizardry

To say that Colin Trevorrow's Jurassic World is something of a hot-button topic among movie buffs isn't exactly accurate, because I'm not seeing a lot of discussion about it anymore — a lot of people have decided it's crap and moved on. I seem to be one of the few who actually liked the movie — you can read my review here — but even I forgot about it when the Oscar nominations were announced. It wasn't nominated for Best Visual Effects, and say what you will about the movie as a whole, but I thought the effects were good enough to warrant a nod.

ILM has released a new VFX reel that showcases the artists' work. I love watching these things:

We are pleased to share a sample of the visual effects work created for Colin Trevorrow's 'Jurassic World.' ILM has a long and storied history with the Jurassic series and this film, like each film that has come before it, breaks new ground in character animation and visual effects.
