Joss Whedon jumping on board Warner' Bros.’ Justice League as a replacement for Zack Snyder definitely wasn’t the best move for him. He’s taken a lot of crap from a lot of people for that movie because, well… it sucked. It’s not all his fault, though. The studio executives are the ones that made the decision and pushed for the different direction of the film. The whole situation was just a mess.

Well, with Snyder getting to complete his own cut of the film, Justice League actor Ray Fisher, who plays Cyborg in the film, took to Twitter to renounce his loyalty to Joss Whedon by retracting a statement he made at Comic-Con in which he threw his support at The Avengers director.

Fisher shared the video from Comic-Con where he said, “Joss Whedon is a good guy and Zack picked a good person to clean up and finish up for him.” And that video came with the following statement:

“I’d like to take a moment to forcefully retract every bit of this statement.”

Well, it’s certainly going to be awkward if Whedon and Fisher ever meet again. I mean, he’s basically saying here that Joss Whedon is not a good guy. There are so many people to blame for the Justice League shit show, but Whedon has certainly become the fall guy.

I like Whedon and his work, he was just thrust into a shitty situation that involved a rushed production, a limited budget, and a slew of notes from the studio that he had to implement into the film. I wonder what Whedon would have done with Justice League had he been given a blank slate to work from, a decent budget, and time. We’ll never know, but I did love his Avengers movies!
