JUSTICE LEAGUE Reshoots Are Underway and It Looks Like They Involve Wonder Woman
We've known for awhile that Justice League would go through some reshoots and that Joss Whedon would be directing them. He was actually helping plan out these reshoots with Zack Snyder before he had to drop out.
Reshoots are a pretty common thing with big movie blockbusters like this, but we've previously heard that these reshoots are not your standard "pick-up" shots. These are said to be "significant" and no one has refuted that claim yet. One thing we know for sure is that reshoots are happening and some set photos have recently surfaced that you can check out at Batman Notes.
These set photos reveal that this part of the reshoot will involve Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman. It seems like they are going to include some flashbacks because the stuff we are seeing in the photos, taken in Bedfordshire, England, have some World War I props. They include old buses, cars, and we even get a glimpse of a German fighter plane like the one Chris Pine‘s Steve Trevor was flying in Wonder Woman.
It's looking like maybe they are beefing up Wonder Woman's role in the story. After all, her movie was a huge success. But these reshoots were planned before Wonder Woman blew up at the box office.
There have also been recent reports that confirm Robin Wright and Connie Nielsen would be reprising their role in Justice League as Antiope and Queen Hippolyta. So it looks like we're going to get multiple flashbacks to different time periods of Wonder Woman's life. Does this mean that Steve Trevor will return? It'd be cool if he did.
It'll be interesting to see how they plan to explore Wonder Woman's past more because that's obviously what they're going to do. What do you all think about the possibility of Wonder Woman getting an expanded role in Justice League?
Justice League hits theaters on November 17th, 2017.
