Justin Long and Kate Bosworth Face a Nightmare in Trailer for the Horror Comedy COYOTES

Aura Entertainment has released the first trailer for Coyotes, a new horror comedy that stars real-life couple Justin Long and Kate Bosworth.

The story centers on a family trapped in their Hollywood Hills home as a wildfire rages around them, only to find themselves stalked by a pack of feral coyotes driven out by the flames. Long and Bosworth star as the parents, with their performances highlighting the terrifying clash between human vulnerability and primal survival.

The movie comes from director Colin Minihan, the filmmaker behind Grave Encounters and What Keeps You Alive. It’s described as “combining the claustrophobic dread of home invasion with brutal eco-horror, sugarcoated with funny situations.”

It’s also said that the film’s “atmospheric intensity, tight pacing, and escalating stakes channel the distinctive unpredictability of nature gone rogue and the disastrous consequences of the forced displacement of wildlife.”

The supporting cast includes Katherine McNamara, Brittany Allen, Mila Harris, and Norbert Leo Butz. The official synopsis reads:

“When a scorching wildfire hits the Hollywood Hills, a family is stranded as their neighborhood is destroyed and their home becomes a blazing prison.

“What begins as an intimate domestic drama quickly escalates into a pulse-pounding survival thriller as a pack of predatory coyotes disoriented by the fires tighten their perimeter around the house.

“Rendered powerless by collapsing roads and no electricity, the family must rely on their courage, resilience & love for one another to survive both the inferno and snarling threat outdoors.”

After its Fantastic Fest debut, Aura Entertainment will release Coyotes in select theaters across the U.S. on October 3, 2025.
