Justine Bateman's VIOLET Adds Olivia Munn and Justin Theroux to the Cast

Justine Bateman (Family Ties, Desperate Housewives) is making her directorial debut with a film called Violet. She is also producing the film and it appears she also wrote the script for it as well. To star in the film, Bateman has cast Olivia Munn (X-Men: Apocalypse, Office Christmas Party) and Justin Theroux (The Leftovers, Mute). The little I’ve heard about the film seems pretty interesting. Here’s a quick synopsis:

Violet follows a rising film executive who lives according to the Voice (Theroux) in her head, until unexpectedly realizing the truth — it’s been lying about everything. LaPaglia portrays her boss, who dilutes her confidence in a way similar to the Voice.

Mark G. Mathis is producing alongside Bateman and Cassian Elwes is executive producing. There’s no release date for the film, but I’m hoping we learn more about this project soon.
