Kaitlyn Dever Plays Juliet's Cousin and Romeo's Scheming Ex ROSALINE in Charming Trailer for New Hulu Original Movie

Kaitlyn Dever (Booksmart, Dopesick, Ticket to Paradise) stars in a fun new trailer for the Hulu original movie Rosaline, in which she plays Juliet’s cousin and Romeo’s scheming ex-girlfriend who is trying to win him back. Dever is joined in the cast by Isabela Merced, Kyle Allen and Sean Teale, with Minnie Driver and Bradley Whitford.

Here’s the synopsis:

Rosaline is a fresh and comedic twist on Shakespeare’s classic love story “Romeo & Juliet,” told from the perspective of Juliet’s cousin Rosaline (Dever), who also happens to be Romeo’s recent love interest. Heartbroken when Romeo (Allen) meets Juliet (Merced) and begins to pursue her, Rosaline schemes to foil the famous romance and win back her guy.

Rosaline was directed by Karen Maine from a screenplay by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, based on the novel When You Were Mine by Rebecca Serle.

This looks like a really funny take on the classic story, and Dever is such a good comedic actress, I can’t wait to see her in the role. Rosaline will debut on October 14th exclusively as a Hulu Original in the U.S., Star+ Original in Latin America and Star Original on Disney+ in other territories.
