Kaley Cuoco Isn't Sure If There Will Be a Third Season of THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT
Kaley Cuoco’s The Flight Attendant has been fun to watch over the past two seasons. I thought for sure that we’d see a Season 3, but Cuoco isn’t so sure if that’s going to happen or not. Season 3 plans are up in the air, but if we never do see a third season, the actress is happy with how things came to an end with Season 2. During a recent interview with People, she said:
“It’s going to take a lot of thought to make sure if we go back that it’s better than the last two, which is very hard to do. There’s definitely interest in doing a third season. I think for me, at this moment, the plane has landed.”
So, while there are currently no plans in place for another season, there is a possibility that it could eventually happen. Cuoco said the best thing about the Season 2 finale is that the series “could definitely be done or it’s definitely open to continuing.” She added, “I think the writers and the team did a really beautiful job in tying it up in a pretty bow. But if you had to open the bow, it would be okay.”
If the creative team does decide to move forward with a third season, it’s not going to be anytime soon. Cuoco explained:
“I think I need a minute. I just kind of feel like we just ended. Some of my favorite shows on TV take some time to come back, and then I get very excited about a new season. I want to make sure that the fans are excited and that we’re not pushing it too hard.”
As for what we could expect to see in a third season if it does move forward, Cuoco says she wants it to revolve around Cassie Bowden’s struggles with maintaining her sobriety. She said, “That is what her life is truly about and those are her struggles, but I don’t know. I think it’s going to take us a minute to figure out what that would look like.”
I wouldn’t be surprised if we got another season, but if it never happened, and she is good without continuing Cassie’s story… so be it, I’m happy with what we got!
