Karan Ashley Talks About Her POWER RANGERS Audition, Lack of Reunions, and Her Project Called THE ORDER Starring More POWER RANGERS Alumni

Karan Ashley is probably best known for her role as Aisha Campbell from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. She was the second Yellow Ranger and provided some healthy amounts of sass. In the years since, she’s been sure to keep busy and in a recent interview with Scott McGlynn (Instagram) on his IGTV series Celebrity Skin Talk she talked about the audition process, reunions that didn’t happen, and her project called The Order that would star a ton of Power Rangers alumni. You can watch the entire interview below, but I’ll talk about some highlights.

First, I found it really interesting to hear her experience about her whirlwind audition for MMPR. Apparently, it was a very fast and sudden process where she beat out potentially thousands of other actors from across the country. In terms of reunions, Ashley shared that it’s never worked out for her to return because of timing and she also hinted that pay has also been a factor.

The piece that interested me the most though was when she talked about her project titled The Order. Ashley described it as a show about vigilante assassins that would star a bunch of Power Rangers alumni. Now, she talks about it as a show, but after some research, it looks like the project has been in the works to some degree as a movie. Ashley explains in the interview that she’s been meeting with companies and looking for the right fit. Hopefully, this gets picked up by someone because based on what I’ve learned about this project, I need it. If IMDb is to be believed, Power Rangers fans would be able to see Ashley team up with Erin Cahill (Power Rangers Time Force), Hilary Shepard (Power Rangers Turbo), David Yost (MMPR), Austin St. John (MMPR), Walter Jones (MMPR), Catherine Sutherland (MMPR), Paul Schrier (MMPR), Jason Faunt (Time Force), Steve Cardenas (MMPR), Brad Hawkins (Power Rangers Zeo), Blake Foster (Turbo), Alyson Sullivan (Power Rangers Wild Force), Nakia Burrise (Zeo), and David J. Fielding (MMPR). There’s also a trailer from a few years ago (included below the interview) that also sees Johnny Yong Bosch (MMPR) as a big character. Hopefully, he’d still work on it. For non-Power Rangers fans, Marina Sirtis (Star Trek: The Next Generation) and Nichelle Nichols (Star Trek: The Original Series) are also listed in IMDb. I need this to come to life now that I know about it! Whether it’s a film or a series, I’m game. This also seems right up Netflix or Hulu’s alley.

A covert group of vigilantes known as The Order dedicate their lives to eliminating violent threats and imminent disasters, but discover that one threat they face, is being lead by some of their very own.
