Kat Dennings Has Funny Response When Asked If Her Marvel Character Could Pop Up in AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY

Kat Dennings (2 Broke Girls) joined the MCU all the way back in the first Thor (2011), playing Jane Foster’s (Natalie Portman) witty astrophysicist assistant Darcy Lewis, and returning for Thor: The Dark World, the series WandaVision, the film Thor: Love and Thunder, and voicing the character in What If...?.

While her character hasn’t been a huge part of the MCU, she has recurred enough that it makes sense she would be asked if she might appear in the ensemble of Avengers: Doomsday.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, while talking about her series Shifting Gears, which she stars in with Tim Allen, Dennings was asked what the chances were that her character would appear in Doomsday. She looked confused and responded, “What’s Doomsday?”

When it was clarified, she said, “Oh! Avengers: Doomsday! Sorry, I thought you meant our show. I was like, ‘is there an episode called Doomsday? Is that the finale?’”

The interviewer got her back on track and said, “Avengers: Doomsday- you’re part of that universe.” Dennings replied, “Well, I’m in the universe, and as you know, I can’t tell you anything, but I’m not in it. I mean, I’m not in it. And I’m telling you right now, I’m not in it. If I were in it, which I’m not, I couldn’t tell you. But I literally am not.”

She went on to add, “I’m sure they already filmed it. I was here, I’m not in it. But! they did scan me, so to be honest, they could put me in anything they want at this point. Who knows?! I’m in the system!”

It really sounds like she’s not in it… but if she were… you know the drill.

Avengers: Doomsday will be released in theatres on December 18, 2026.
