Kate McKinnon and Mila Kunis to Star in THE SPY WHO DUMPED ME Comedy

Lionsgate is developing a new spy comedy called The Spy Who Dumped, and they are in talks with Kate McKinnon (Ghostbusters) and Mila Kunis (Black Swan) to star in the film. It seems like a solid comedic match up that would make sense.

The story follows two best friends, played by McKinnon and Kunis, “who unwittingly become entangled in an international conspiracy when one of the women discovers the boyfriend who dumped her was actually a spy.”

It definitely seems like a chick flick kind of comedy, so I’m sure my wife will want to watch it. I enjoy McKinnon's style of comedy, and Kunis has done some decent comedy work in the past. She most recently starred in Bad Moms, which was a lot better than I thought it'd be. I'm always up for a funny comedy, so hopefully this one delievers some laughs!

Susanna Fogal is directing the film from a script she co-wrote with David Iserson. I should also probably mention that it’s being produced by mega-producer Brian Grazer. The movie is scheduled to shoot this summer.
