Kate Winslet Set to Star in New Hulu Thriller Series THE SPOT From Ed Solomon and A24
Kate Winslet is set to star in and executive produce a new drama thriller series at Hulu titled The Spot. The project comes from Ed Solomon (Bill & Ted, Full Circle, Men in Black), A24, and 20th Television.
Solomon created the series and will serve as writer and showrunner. The Spot follows “a successful surgeon (Winslet) and her school teacher husband who suspect she might be responsible for a child’s hit-and-run death.
“While looking into the matter, dark secrets are revealed that will test their relationship as they confront the possibility of hidden guilt and betrayal.”
That sounds like an intense and gut-wrenching story, which means it will make for good TV.
Solomon previously worked on Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey and Bill & Ted Face The Music, with Chris Matheson.
He also wrote Men In Black and worked on the Now You See Me movies, and teamed up with director Steven Soderbergh and HBO for the critically acclaimed narrative television series, Mosaic.
