Katee Sackhoff Will Play Bo-Katan in THE MANDALORIAN Season 2!
We’ve got some more awesome casting news to share with you for The Mandalorian Season 2! According to /Film, Battlestar Galactica star and Star Wars veteran Katee Sackhoff is set to play the live-action version of Bo-Katan Kryze from Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Rebels in the upcoming season!
What makes this even cooler is the fact that Sackhoff was the original voice of the character in the animated series! This news was confirmed by multiple sources, and she reportedly filmed her role back in February.
For those of you not familiar with Bo-Katan Kryze, she made her first appearance The Clone Wars Season 4. She is a Mandalorian warrior, was the leader of the Nite Owls, and was also a lieutenant in Death Watch, which was a Mandalorian terrorist group. Later, in Star Wars Rebels, Sabine Wren passed the Darksaber on to Bo-Katan, believing that she could unite the Mandalorian clans.
It totally makes sense to bring Bo-Katan into The Mandalorian storyline because she was an instrumental Mandalorian leader who once wielded the Darksaber. That weapon is now in the hands of Moff Gideon, so I imagine we’ll learn what happened and how he managed to get a hold of the Darksaber. Her addition to the series is sure to help fill a lot of missing details regarding Mandalorian history.
