Katherine Langford Rumored to Be Officially Joining the MCU Five Years After Her Role in ENDGAME Was Scrapped
Katherine Langford (13 Reasons Why, Knives Out) was hired on to play an older version of Tony Stark’s daughter, Morgan Stark, in the 2019 superhero epic, Avengers: Endgame. When she didn’t end up in the final cut, fans wondered what happened, but the film’s directors, Joe and Anthony Russo explained why it just didn’t work out.
In the scene, Tony would have come face to face with his grown up daughter in the “way station” state of mind that we saw Thanos face when he performed the snap in Infinity War. She would have forgiven him and sort of given him peace to go. The directors say “the idea felt resonant. But it was just too many ideas in an overly complicated movie.”
But now, Katherine Langford may just be getting her chance to really step into the MCU. According to a rumor from trusted industry scooper @MyTimeToShineH (via CBM) brings word that there are plans for Langford to reprise her role as Morgan in a future MCU project.
Instead of this being an adult version of the little girl introduced in Avengers: Endgame, this would more likely be a Multiversal role. Marvel Studios has moved on from Kang the Conqueror, meaning it's possible Morgan could fill the void left by Iron Lad in a possible Young Avengers project.
Traveling back in time to save the future sounds like a very Stark-like thing to do. Nothing is confirmed at this stage and this rumor is best taken with a grain of salt, as there’s nothing confirming the idea.
There's also chatter online about Trickshot being the lead villain in Hawkeye season 2, so there are many things to keep an eye out for.
