Kathryn Hahn to Star in TINY BEAUTIFUL THINGS Hulu Series With Producers Laura Dern and Reese Witherspoon
Kathryn Hahn (WandaVision, The Shrink Next Door) has signed on to star in the series adaptation of Tiny Beautiful Things at Hulu. The series is based on Cheryl Strayed’s New York Times bestseller of the same name, and “the half-hour series is about a woman (Hahn) who reluctantly becomes Dear Sugar — an anonymous, revered advice columnist — when her own life is falling apart.”
Liz Tigelaar (The Morning Show, Little Fires Everywhere) is adapting the book for the screen and will also serve as executive producer and showrunner. Hahn will executive produce in addition to starring, and is joined by producers Laura Dern and Reese Witherspoon.
All of these women have made some incredibly compelling TV over the last several years, so I am definitely on board for another series with their names attached.
Tiny Beautiful Things has previously been adapted for the stage as a show written by and starring Nia Vardalos.
Hahn will next be seen in the WandaVision spinoff at Disney+, reprising her role of Agatha Harkness, as well as in the anticipated sequel Knives Out 2, which is set to hit Netflix later this year.
