Katie Holmes to Produce, Co-Write, Direct, and Star in Film Adaptation RARE OBJECTS

Actress Katie Holmes (Dawson’s Creek, The Gift, Pieces of April) is making a new film titled Rare Objects. The movie is based on the novel of the same name by Kathleen Tessaro. Holmes is set to star in the film, as well as direct, produce, and co-write the script along with Phaedon Papadopoulos.

Rare Objects tells the story of a young woman with a traumatic past who seeks to rebuild her life when she begins working at an antique store. Receiving wisdom and guidance from the kind souls that own the ship, she gains a new level of confidence that will then be put to the test when those from her past draw her back into their world and challenge her fragile stability.”

Production on the film has started in New York with Yale Productions and Holmes’ Lafayette Pictures producing the movie.

It’s good to see Holmes expanding her horizons in the industry, and it will be interesting to see how this film turns out. We will keep you posted as more info becomes available about Rare Objects.
