KATY KEENE Will Be RIVERDALE's Second Spin-Off

Riverdale is getting its second spin-off series, but the first to be on The CW. According to THR, Greg Berlanti has ordered and will executive produce Katy Keene which will focus on Katy Keene from Riverdale alongside three other aspiring artists. Here’s a full description:

“The spinoff follows the lives and loves of four iconic Archie Comics characters — including titular fashion-legend-to-be Katy Keene — as they chase their twenty-something dreams in New York City. The musical dramedy chronicles the origins and struggles of four aspiring artists trying to make it on Broadway, on the runway and in the recording studio.”

Katy Keene will have its script written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Michael Grassi. The titular character was created in 1945 by Bill Woggon and she was a model, actress, and singer. Are you excited to see more Riverdale spin-offs?
