Kazumasa Habu says that News is Coming Soon About DIGIMON SURVIVE

Digimon Survive was a new game announced by Bandai Namco for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One last year. Things have been really quiet ever since though. Well, it looks like Digimon fans can start getting excited again as news is coming. Kazumasa Habu has taken to Twitter to not only apologize for the long period of silence, but to say that news will be coming either before summer or at the start of summer. Here’s the Twitter translation of the tweet:

“We are sorry to keep you waiting!
Please do not worry because I continue to produce!! Summer before (Summer head? So I think we can deliver the sequel, Thank you.”

If you’re unfamiliar with Digimon Survive, here’s the description of the game:

“Digimon Survive sees a brand-new group of teenagers, led by Takuma Momozuka, get lost on a school camping trip, finding them transported to a strange new world of monsters and danger. As they fight their way back home through an animated world of difficult decisions and deadly battles, players’ choices throughout the game will impact the evolution of their monster allies, and the final ending. Battles in the game are fought in 2D, in a more classic SRPG style.”

I’m interested to see what they announce in the next couple of months. Hopefully we’ll get an updated release window.
