Keanu Reeves Finds Himself Fighting Russians in First Trailer For SIBERIA
Saban Films has released the first trailer for Keanu Reeves' new thriller, Siberia. He is working neck deep in the dangerous underworld of the diamond trade, and he finds himself fighting against the Russians to survive. It doesn't look like the top-notch quality films we're used to seeing Reeves in, but it looks decent, and I'll watch anything with Keanu Reeves in it.
An American diamond merchant named Lucas (Keanu Reeves) travels to Russia to sell rare blue diamonds of questionable origin. As the deal begins to collapse, he falls into an obsessive relationship with a Russian cafe owner in a small Siberian town. As their passion builds, so does the treacherous world of the diamond trade from which he is unable to extricate himself. Both collide as the American man desperately looks for escape in a world with no exit.
The film cast also includes Pasha Lychnikoff, Ana Ularu, Aleks Paunovic, Veronica Ferres, and Molly Ringwald.
Siberia was directed by Matthew Ross (A Hero's Welcome and Frank & Lola). Saban Films will release Siberia in select theaters starting July 13th.
