Keanu Reeves, Jim Carrey, and More Join Cannibal Love Story THE BAD BATCH
Guys like Keanu Reeves and Jim Carrey are reaching the point in their careers where they can pretty much do whatever they want. Ultra-violent revenge thriller? Sure. Comic book movie sequel? Why not? How about a cannibal love story? The Wrap reports that the two actors have signed on to join Batman V Superman star Jason Momoa in Ana Lily Amirpour's new film The Bad Batch, which will be set in Texas and has the backing of Megan Ellison's Annapurna Pictures and VICE. Amirpour made waves with her vampire movie A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night last year, and her next film is highly anticipated among fans of independent film.
Suki Waterhouse (is that a True Blood character, or a real person?) and Diego Luna are also on board, but we don't know much about their characters thus far. In truth, we don't know much about the other characters either, aside from their names: Momoa will play Miami Man, Reeves will be The Dream, and Carrey will be The Hermit, while Waterhouse and Luna have the much less interesting names of Arlen and Jimmy, respectively.
That's about all of the information that's out there about this project right now, but the fact that it's a cannibal love story means it's not something we see every day, and with a talented cast like this, it's certainly going to get a lot of people's attention when it comes out. What do you think?
