Keanu Reeves Shuts Down JOHN WICK Return Rumors With Blunt Reality Check

Keanu Reeves may be one of the most beloved actors in Hollywood, but even that may won’t be enough to bring John Wick back from the dead.

Fans are still clinging to hope that the legendary assassin will make another miraculous comeback after the events of John Wick: Chapter 4. However, Reeves himself isn’t exactly feeding into those expectations.

In a recent interview, the actor was asked if there were any plans for another John Wick movie. His response was pretty blunt:

“Well, you know the character’s dead.”

As John Wick: Chapter 4 came to a close, Wick had seemingly succumbed to his wounds after one last, brutal showdown.

But, this is John Wick we’re talking about here. The man has survived being shot, stabbed, run over, and thrown off a building.

If anyone could pull off another comeback, it’s him. Still, Reeves doubled down, reminding everyone that there are no current plans for another film:

“He died in John Wick: Chapter 4. I know [it’s] Hollywood… but right now there isn’t.”

So, while another full-fledged John Wick sequel isn’t in the works, we won’t have to wait long to see Reeves back in action.

He’ll be reprising his role in the upcoming spin-off Ballerina, starring Ana de Armas. Set before the events of Chapter 4, the film follows a new assassin seeking revenge for her father’s death. And as the trailer has already teased, John Wick will show up at some point.

Whether he’s there for a friendly chat or to add to his already staggering body count is yet to be seen. But I’m sure we’ll see him take down a few bad guys.

Armas, who’s stepping into the world of high-octane action for the first time, recently shared how Reeves inspired her during training for the film.

Speaking on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, she recalled just how intense the physical demands were:

“Keanu and I were rehearsing our very difficult stunt scene, and this man is just rolling and throwing me and doing these crazy stunts. And I’m like, I can’t complain anymore, I’m done. Because he is doing it!”

It would be great to see Wick back in action in another solo film, but there is a good chance that won’t happen.
