Keanu Reeves to Join Sci-Fi Thriller THE PANOPTICON
According to The Wrap, Keanu Reeves is currently in negotiations to star in a new sci-fi thriller called The Panopticon. The actor is hot off his his latest action film John Wick, which kicked all kinds of ass. I was really hoping that film would help him get even more cool movie gigs. He was recently cast in another sci-fi movie called Replicas, and now he has this new potential project, which sounds cool.
The movie will follow “a seemingly ordinary man who receives a mysterious package containing a pre-recorded message from himself, warning that the world is about to end and only he can save it. He must race against the clock to piece together the puzzle before time runs out for mankind.”
Immortals director Tarsem Singh is set to helm the film, which comes from a script written by The Quiet Ones scribe Craig Rosenberg. Reeves recently wrapped Eli Roth‘s Knock Knock as well as the courtroom drama The Whole Truth, and he's currently shooting the indie film Daughter of God.
I'm a fan of Reeves and many of the films that he's made over the years. It's awesome to see that he's got some great projects in the works.
