NOPE Star Keke Palmer in Talks to Join Action Thriller GODS UNKNOWN
Keke Palmer, best known for her role in the film Nope, is in talks to star in the action thriller Gods Unknown, from director Stefano Sollima (Without Remorse, Sicario: Day of the Soldado), and writers Andrew Barrer and Gabe Ferrari (Transformers One).
The film is set in Central Africa, where a burgeoning political-religious movement, spearheaded by a warlord rumored to possess supernatural powers, is said to be gaining momentum.
Doubtful of these assertions, the CIA dispatches an analyst, accompanied by a squad of elite special ops personnel, to delve into the truth behind the enigmatic leader and their followers.
If negotiations pan out, Palmer will portray Kate Vance, an agent with the CIA’s political action group.
Palmer is coming off of production opposite Aziz Ansari, Keanu Reeves and Seth Rogen on Good Fortune, the Lionsgate comedy marking Ansari’s feature directorial debut.
Other projects on the in-demand actress’s lineup include Amazon MGM’s heist pic The Pickup with Eddie Murphy, and David O. Russell’s Super Toys, to name just a couple.
