Kelsey Grammer Describes The Madness of Filming AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY

Fans are stoked to see Avengers new and old unite for the upcoming event ensembles Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. It will be the first time that many of these heroes have teamed up in live-action, and it’s bound to be cool.

Details around the film’s plot are under wraps, and the stars are under strict advisement to keep their traps shut, so it’s tricky for them as they navigate interviews before we even see the first trailer.

Kelsey Grammer, who is returning to play the mutant character Hank McCoy aka Beast in the film, recently spoke to ScreenRant, where he (sort of) described shooting Avengers: Doomsday, saying:

“It’s like a 'hail-fellow-well-met.' I didn’t work with a lot of the other guys because so much of it is like, ‘Oh, somebody flies in from this place for a week, somebody flies in from that place.’ and then somehow we end up on screen together.”

Well, that tells us nothing, but what can you expect? Grammer first played Beast in the X-Men franchise, which crossed over into the MCU in The Marvels' end credits scene, where Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) wakes up seemingly in another dimension, where the X-Men exist.

That was just a tease, but it’s expected that his role in Doomsday will be of bigger consequence. Later in the interview, Grammer described the MCU as, “An extraordinary franchise, and I was really, really happy to be invited back.”

Avengers: Doomsday hits theatres on December 18, 2026.
