Ken Watanabe to Replace Benedict Wong in Gareth Edwards' Original Sci-Fi Film TRUE LOVE
Oscar-nominated actor Ken Watanabe (The Last Samurai, Inception, Godzilla) has signed on to star in the sci-fi film True Love from writer and director Gareth Edwards (Godzilla, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story). Watanabe is taking the role over from Benedict Wong, who was originally cast, but had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts.
Watanabe joins previously cast co-stars John David Washington, Gemma Chan, Allison Janney, and Sturgill Simpson. The film is billed as an original sci-fi story set in the near future. Specifics as to its plot and the role Watanabe is playing are currently undisclosed, but production on the film is underway, so we should hear some info soon. Stay tuned.
