Keri Russell is Excited to Work With J.J. Abrams on STAR WARS: EPISODE IX

Keri Russell is going to be part of Star Wars: Episode IX and I’m excited to learn what her role will be. Of course, Russell is excited to work with director J.J. Abrams. The two worked together on Felicity back in the early 2000s and then again on Mission: Impossible III which came out in 2006. It’s been over 10 years since they last worked together, but Russell is optimistic about working on Episode IX as she told Deadline:

It is just so much more fun to work with someone that you like so much. I mean, we see each other and then we talk nonstop and fill in all the details of the past years, and you know, it’s just nice when you have that kind of fun and history with someone. It makes it all that much more enjoyable. When J.J. calls so unexpectedly, cool things happen.

I think it’s great when actors and directors can develop a great relationship that leads to them wanting to work with each other.

Star Wars: Episode IX is currently slated for release December 20, 2019.
