Kerry Washington Joins Rian Johnson's WAKE UP DEAD MAN: A KNIVES OUT MYSTERY
Kerry Washington (Scandal, Little Fires Everywhere) has joined the ensemble cast of Rian Johnson’s next film Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.
Washington joins Daniel Craig, Josh O’Connor, Cailee Spaeny, and Andrew Scott. All we know about the movie is that Craig is returning to star as detective Benoit Blanc and he will find himself investigating another mysterious murder.
When previously talking about the project, Johnson said: “I’ve got the premise, I’ve got the setting, I’ve got what the movie is in my head. It’s just a matter of writing the damn thing.”
Johnson also said: “I love everything about whodunits, but one of the things I love most is how malleable the genre is. There’s a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and getting to explore that range is one of the most exciting things about making Benoit Blanc movies.”
The film is set to go into production next month and will be released sometime in 2025.
