Kevin Bacon's Syfy Channel TREMORS Reboot Series is Dead

I've got some bad news for all of you Tremors fans out there. Like many of you, I was super excited about Kevin Bacon coming back to the franchise after all these years to reprise his role of Valentine in the reboot series for Syfy. Well, according to the actor, that series isn't moving forward. It's dead. Bacon broke the news on Instagram, saying:

"Sad to report that my dream of revisiting the world of Perfection will not become a reality. Although we made a fantastic pilot (IMHO) the network has decided not to move forward. Thanks to our killer cast and everyone behind the scenes who worked so hard. And always keep one eye out for GRABOIDS!"

The series was set 25 years after the events of the first film and found Valentine McKee (Bacon) attempting to save the town again — but this time, also battling age, alcohol and a delusional hero complex. He also had a daughter who would have played into the story.

I'm actually pretty bummed out that we won't see this series. It sounds like it would have been a fun series. I don't watch a lot of shows on the Syfy Channel these days, but I would have watched this! Oh, well.
