Kevin Conroy Set To Play Bruce Wayne in The CW's "Crisis on Infinite Earths" Crossover Event
Hot damn! Kevin Conroy, the iconic voice of Bruce Wayne / Batman in Batman: The Animated Series and several other DC animated projects over the past 25 years is finally going to play a live-action version of Bruce Wayne!
The CW announced during the Television Critics Association summer press tour that Conroy will play Bruce Wayne in DC’s upcoming “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover event. He will join the previously announced guest stars that include Burt Ward and Brandon Routh, who will be Kingdom Come Superman. It was also announced that Cress Williams will appear as Black Lightning in the event.
It’s pretty awesome that fans will finally get to see Conroy play a live-action version of Wayne and I really hope that we get to see him in the cape and cowl! It would be incredible if he actually ended up fighting alongside Routh’s Kingdom Come Superman! There are no details on how these characters will be utilized in the series, but I can’t wait to find out!
In the comics, “Crisis on Infinite Earths” told the epic story of a battle between several superheroes and some villains from across the DC multiverse as the take on an immortal, cosmic threat known as the Anti-Monitor. It’ll be interesting to see how this story will be told in this Arrowverse crossover event series.
“Crisis on Infinite Earths" will debut across Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, and Batwoman later this year.
What do you think about Kevin Conroy taking on the role of Bruce Wayne in "Crisis on Infinite Earths"!?
