Kevin Durand Joins the Cast of KINGDOM OF THE PLANET OF THE APES at 20th Century Studios

Actor Kevin Durand (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Locke and Key) has joined the cast of the upcoming sequel Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, from director Wes Ball (The Maze Runner). Durand joins previously cast actors Owen Teague, Freya Allan, and Peter Macon. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes starts an all-new chapter in the Apes saga, picking up many years after the conclusion of 2017’s War for the Planet of the Apes. The screenplay is by Josh Friedman, Rick Jaffa, and Amanda Silver and Patrick Aison.

While unconfirmed, sources say Durand would be playing an Ape and that the character is likely to be the villain in the new film.
