Kevin Feige Confirms Marvel Studios is Coming To Comic-Con 2022!
San Diego Comic-Con is coming next month and the geek excitement is in the air! I’ve been going to this event for years and I always have such a great time! For me, it’s all about hanging out with good friends, having a good time seeing cool stuff, and being around my kind of people.
After two years of not going to an in-person San Diego Comic-Con event, I was hoping that its return would be filled with all kinds of geeky greatness. It was recently announced that Amazon was bringing The Lord of the Rings: The Ring of Power to Hall H, which was exciting. But, one question that a lot of fans have been wondering is… will Marvel Studios show up?
Well, the answer to that question is… yes! Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed that the studio will have a presence at the pop culture expo. In years past, when Marvel didn’t show up, Feige would always say the reason is that they had nothing ready to show the fans. Well, they can’t use that excuse anymore.
Marvel Studios has so many continuous projects in development these days there will never be a time that they don’t have anything to share. I know a lot of fans didn’t even think Marvel would show up with Disney’s D23 Expo coming in August. But, come on… Marvel isn’t going to abandon Comic-Con, that’s where they launched the MCU! I was there when Iron Man was announced and I love the energy of the fans when Marvel brings something to show off!
Feige and Disney have not clarified Marvel’s plans for SDCC, but some of the projects that they have in development right now are Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and The Marvels. Some of the other projects they are working on include Blade, I Am Groot, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, as well as Echo, Secret Invasion, Ironheart, Armor Wars, and Agatha: House of Harkness.
San Diego Comic-Con runs from July 21 to July 24 at the San Diego Convention Center. If you plan on going, we’ll see you there!
